Nominations

This organizations roots are in the strength of its members.  Over 30 years ago like minded County Veteran Service Officers decided it was time to work together, to share ideas, to teach the beginners and some of the “old timers” as well.  For years they were relegated to the training they could obtain from the larger organizations, or from their state.  When they came together and shared their stories they realized the impact that could be made, the progress that could be made for future CVSO’s if they worked together.  Today our organization has grown into the “gold standard” for training veteran advocates.  We have become respected partners with the Department of Veterans Affairs, State Directors Association, National Association of Counties and the larger VSO’s.  This didn’t happen by accident, it happened because the leaders of this organization understood the value of those partnerships, and they worked hard to develop them, and they continue to work hard at them.  We need to continue to develop our corps of leaders in order to ensure the continued success that we all enjoy.  As we prepare for the June Conference, it is time to think about elections.  An ancient scholar was quoted as saying “If not you, then who, If not now, then when.”

If you would like to nominate yourself or someone else for a board position, please check the Bylaws on our website and then email Immediate Past President with the name, contact information, and county/ state for the nominee.
