A Reminder from the National Service Director

As a reminder, the National Association of County Veterans Service Officers (NACVSO) members who are seeking to maintain their accreditation with NACVSO and cross accreditation with Disabled American Veterans are required to complete the following steps by January 31, 2025. Each member must log in to their NACVSO account and complete the steps. 

If you have problems accessing your account, you will need to submit a help ticket to NACVSO by emailing info@nacvso.org. 

1. Open the NACVSO website: National Association of County Veterans Service Officers | NACVSO and navigate to “Accreditation,” then “Annual Recertification Exam” and select “Click Here.”
   1. You will need your NACVSO username and password to log in and access the Membership and Accreditation areas of the site.

2. Complete the Re-certification Exam.

2. 1. The exam questions, comprised of multiple choice and true or false answers.
   2. Exam is untimed and open book.
   3. You can only submit your answers once, but you can pause the exam to look up the answers if necessary.
   4. You will receive an email upon completion of the exam and need at least a 70% to pass.  

3. Submit the Continuing Education Units.
   If you attended NACVSO Annual Conference in Denver AND completed the end of conference survey, you should see 2024 CEU already listed in your Member Compass. No further action is necessary. 
   1. While still on the NACVSO website, go to “Continuing Education Units.” Complete the required boxes on the “CEU Submission Form,” including the course categories. You can use the attached list of courses provided to complete that information. When done, you will also attach and submit a PDF document showing the agenda(s). 
   2. Please combine any PDFs before attaching to streamline NACVSOs review process.  

4. Complete the Annual DAV Agreement.

2. 1. Open the National Service Director Page and click DAV Annual Agreement. 
   2. You must know your OGC number, look it up prior to starting. DO NOT enter your membership number, as the agreement will not be accepted. 

5. Please remit your 2025 Membership dues.

2. 1. Invoice have been created and posted in your Member Compass portal.
