February 2025 President’s Update for Blog

Greeting NACVSO Members and Strategic Partners,

As we move into February, I want to take a moment to acknowledge the transition in leadership within our government. With new leaders taking their seats, NACVSO remains fully engaged in ensuring that the voices of County Veteran Service Officers are heard at every level. We are actively building relationships with key decision-makers and working to educate them on the vital role CVSOs play in serving veterans and their families.

I’m also pleased to announce that registration for the 2025 NACVSO Leadership Summit will be opening soon. This year’s summit will take place April 6th–10th, and delegates should be on the lookout for an email with registration details. Now entering its fifth year, the Leadership Summit has become a cornerstone of our legislative and policy advocacy efforts. The success of initiatives like the CVSO Act is a direct reflection of the groundwork laid through these advocacy efforts, and it’s critical that we continue building on that momentum. As attendance has grown, so have costs slightly, but this event remains an invaluable investment in advancing our mission. Operations Manager Anthony Lewis will be the primary point of contact for any questions regarding the summit and you may reach him by email at alewis@nacvso.org.

Additionally, registration for the NACVSO Annual Training Conference will be opening soon, so keep an eye out for announcements. This is shaping up to be another impactful year for NACVSO, and I’m grateful for the dedication and hard work each of you while serving veterans across the country.

Happy February, and keep up the amazing work!

Warm regards,

Christopher Hinton President, NACVSO
