Professional Bio
He has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Southwest MN State University and an Associate of Arts in Korean from the US Army Defense Language Institute. Prior to becoming a CVSO, Josh worked in corrections for four years as a case manager, field surveillance officer, and corrections agent.
Josh served as a Psychological Operations Specialist in the 13th PSYOP Battalion for 6 years in the Army Reserve, deployed to Iraq in 2003, and left service in 2004 as a Sergeant (E-5). He also studied Korean as a second language at the US Army Defense Language Institute from 2001-2002.
Josh lives in Madison, MN with his beagle Rupert the 2nd and serves as Commander of Bellingham American Legion Post 441, Chaplain and Service Officer for Madison VFW Post 1656, is a life member of the Western 24 Chapter of the DAV, and has done Peer Mentor Training in 2012 and attended the 2013 Central Regional Alumni Summit with the Wounded Warrior Project. In his spare time, he enjoys shooting, hunting, fishing, ice fishing, riding 4 wheeler, yard work, building Lego models, movies, tv, music, and tinkering with various projects.
