Professional Bio

Master Sergeant Darren Shearlock is a retired, highly decorated, career Army Non-Commissioned Officer. He dedicated more than twenty years of his life to protecting America while serving in the United States Army.

Among his many accomplishments in the Army: Master Sergeant Shearlock led soldiers during three combat tours in the Middle East; directed drug interdiction, drug awareness, and alternative agriculture development programs in Bolivia, St. Kitts, and Barbados; was a Liaison Officer for the Special Operation Command, 4th Psychological Operations Group, 19th Special Forces Group, and Naval Special Warfare Unit Three; was an instructor at John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School; taught Psychological Warfare to both American and foreign Military Officers; planned and directed counter Violent Extremism operations in Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, and Burkina Faso.

After retiring from the Army, Master Sergeant Shearlock continued to serve by educating and mentoring university students. He has taught American history at WVUP and served as their Veteran Advocate. He currently serves the veteran community as the Executive Director of Washington County Veterans Service Commission.
