Daniel Wilson

Dan is a lifelong SE Ohio resident, his hometown is Wellsville, Ohio. After graduation from Jefferson Community College in 1983, Dan enlisted in the United States Air Force as an Air Transportation Specialist. Dan’s career in the USAF spanned 20+ years and included tours of duty in the Republic of Panama, Fort Lee, Virginia, the United Kingdom, Germany and spent time on temporary duties throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Dan is a veteran of operations in Southwest Asia, the Balkans, and has supported our nations Global War on Terrorism and Operations Iraq and Afghanistan. Dan is a Post 911 veteran. While in the US Air Force Dan earned a second Associate Degree in Logistics from the Community College of the Air Force and a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from the University of Maryland, University College. Following service, he received his Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from Wheeling Jesuit University.

Dan retired from the Air Force in 2004 as a Master Sergeant and lives in Wintersville, Ohio with his wife MaryBeth. They have 2 grown daughters, Katie and Lindsey and 4 grandsons. Dan and MaryBeth enjoy attending the many sporting events that their grandson’s play and enjoys spending time with family always.

Dan was appointed to the AMVETS seat on the Jefferson County Veterans Service Commission in 2015 and has served ever since. In addition to being a Life Member of AMVETS, Dan is a member of the American Legion, Air Force Sergeants Association, IAVA, TEAM Red White and Blue Wheeling Chapter, Jefferson County Veterans Association and a Life Member of the DAV & VFW. Dan is also active as an Adult Leader & Merit Badge Counselor in Boy Scout Troop 3, and very much enjoys helping young leaders succeed.
