Professional Bio
A U.S. Navy veteran, Adam served eight years on active duty from 2003 to 2011, including service with Mobile Security Squadron Seven in Guam and deployments in support of military operations during the OIF/OEF era.
Following his military service, Adam continued serving the veteran community through a career in social work. He is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and spent more than eleven years with the Department of Veterans Affairs at the Durham VA Health Care System. His work included serving as a Post-9/11 Military 2 V.A. case manager, helping transitioning service members and veterans navigate VA health care, connect with benefits and resources, and address complex medical, behavioral health, and psychosocial needs.
Today, as Person County's Veterans Service Officer, Adam brings together his experience as a veteran, VA social worker, and passionate advocate to help veterans and their families better understand the systems designed to serve them. His approach emphasizes listening first, education, and empowering veterans to make informed decisions while ensuring they have every opportunity to access the benefits and services they have earned through their service.
