This week NACVSO President Ed Zackery met with North Dakota Department of Veterans Affairs (NDDVA), Commissioner Lonnie Wangen, and Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs (WDVA), Secretary Daniel Zimmerman at the 2017 Annual NASDVA conference to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to further expand our organizations ability to work collaboratively and increase our ability to reach and serve veterans.
 
These two MOU’s allow for County Veteran Service Officers in the State of North Dakota and Wisconsin who have been accredited by NACVSO and who has maintained said accreditation, the right to be accredited by NDDVA/WIDVA (respective states). Furthermore, all NDDVA and WDVA claims representatives who have been accredited and certified by the aforementioned states will be offered accreditation with NACVSO.
 
The NDDVA and WDVA will represent NACVSO claims at the Fargo, ND and Milwaukee, WI Regional Offices. They will also represent NACVSO cases in appeals hearing including hearings with the Board of Veterans Appeals.
